How do I set up a account?

Here at TrueModern we only ask you to set up an account at the time of checkout. After you have finished your shopping and have decided to checkout, you will be asked to enter your previous customer ID, or set up a new account. Once the checkout process has been completed, your account information will be safely stored in our database for the next time you return to TrueModern. Just login as an “Existing Customer” for fast and easy checkout.

What are my payment options?

TrueModern currently accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, and AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards. You may safely enter your credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information via QUICK SSL. Please note, Elevate Home LLC will show up on your bill. We also accept checks. Your order will be shipped 2 to 5 days after your check has cleared our bank. Please call to arrange payment by check.

Can I order by phone or fax?

For phone orders please call 415-967-7556. We will be glad to help with your purchase. We are available from 9AM to 5PM PST, Monday through Friday. We can accept fax orders at 1.510.981.0207. We do not accept wholesale orders via fax. Please send an email confirming that your fax has been sent to sales@truemodern.com.

Will I be charged sales tax?

TrueModern is required by law to charge sales tax on all orders shipped within the state of California. Sales tax will be calculated at the time of checkout. No sales tax will be applied to orders shipped to addresses outside California.

Is the TrueModern site secure?

TrueModern utilizes the latest technology for shopping and ecommerce security. All orders are transmitted over secure Internet connections using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology. All of your personal information, including your credit card information and sign-in password are stored in an encrypted format at all times. This website, and more importantly all user information, is further protected by a multi-layer firewall based security system. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express and QUICK SSL also take significant security measures to protect your information. To ensure that your connection is secure, look at the lower left-hand corner of your browser window after accessing the server. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), then SSL is active and the (URL) window of your browser. When accessing a secure server, the first characters of the site address will change from "http" to "https."

At TrueModern we take your privacy very seriously. We are committed to protecting our customer’s privacy and will never sell your information. At the time of checkout you will be asked for name, address, and email address. We will also request your form of payment along with a billing address and telephone number associated to the cardholder. We will use your email address to provide you with an order confirmation and any shipping information associated with your order. From time to time we will use your email address to provide you with special offers or company information. If you do not wish to be on this mailing list, please let us know by email after your order has been delivered and we will remove you from our list.

What are your shipping policies?

SHIPPING DAMAGES: ALL FURNITURE DELIVERIES MUST BE INSPECTED FOR DAMAGE AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY. ANY DAMAGE MUST BE NOTED WITH THE DRIVER. DO NOT ACCEPT DAMAGED ITEMS. TRUEMODERN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGED ITEMS ACCEPTED BY THE CUSTOMER REPORTED AFTER THE TIME OF DELIVERY. Sometimes your furniture may get damaged in transit. The only way TrueModern can file a claim with the shipping companies is if you refuse it at the door. Please politely ask the drivers to wait while you unpack the furniture. It will be worth the wait and will save us all trouble later on.

After we have verified and received approval on the credit card, your order will be processed for shipment. Incorrect billing data or missing information may delay your order. All large furniture items may require special processing due to size and or weight. Elevate Home LLC will notify customers by email who have placed orders for items that are out of stock. All items normally ship within 1 week. Please contact shipping@elevatehome.com for any shipping inquiries. TrueModern offers a standard curbside delivery, anywhere in the country. This “curbside service” will deliver the furniture to the shipping address, but will not bring the items into the house or business. This service charges 10% of invoice. We also offer "Inside Delivery," aka "Threshold Delivery," for a charge of 25% of invoice. This service will typically bring the furniture (large items only) through the front door just past the FIRST threshold. This service varies from city to city. Please email help@elevatehome.com for more information. These additional shipping charges are calculated at the time of checkout. The shipping company will call and arrange the exact time of delivery. All small items (including all bedding and nightstands) will ship via FedEx ground. All TrueModern large deliveries to the 48 contiguous states will be made by common carrier. You must provide a street address as we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. TrueModern does not provide installation or assembly of furniture into residences or businesses. Installation or assembly of furniture into residences or businesses may be available through the shipping company. Any costs for installation or assembly of furniture into residences or businesses are the responsibility of the purchaser and not TrueModern, unless otherwise arranged with TrueModern. Some TrueModern furniture requires some assembly. Please specify if there are any abnormal shipping restraints. It is very important to know in advance about any long staircase or narrow streets. Are the shipments insured?

It is very helpful if you can provide pictures of the damage in order to speed up the claims process and allow us to expedite a new item to be delivered to you.

Does your product have any manufacturers warranty?

All of our products have a one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects. A digital picture is required for all product liability claims. In the case of a manufacturer's defect, TrueModern will provide a replacement or replacement parts.

Can I return or exchange my order?

TrueModern only accepts exchanges and returns within 14 days of delivery. Customers should retain all original packaging in order for a return to take place. If the item does not include the original packaging, the item can be re-packed at a third party shipping facility at the customer’s expense.
